Cricut Is Tearing Vinyl With Small Font
One of the real challenges i m having is to cut reasonably small text or shapes in vinyl without lifting or tearing off the substrate.
Cricut is tearing vinyl with small font. Realistically there may just be images that are too small or intricate to cut. However it keeps ripping the letting. I just feel very bitter and discouraged. First it wasn t cutting enough and after changing the pressure settings it seems to be cutting better but ripping the vinyl.
Hide parts of the design when cutting small. If cutting a simple image resolves the issue try cutting the more intricate image using the custom setting for cardstock intricate cuts. If there is a lot of detail in your image or if you are using a super cute script font cursive it will only cut correctly when sized properly. Try increasing the size of the image.
Use a sticky mat. I m really not sure where the limits are for cutting small shapes but i m guessing it depends on a number of factors i e. Does anyone know a fix for this. Quality of the vinyl blade sharpness speed and pressure.
If using a cricut explore air 2 or cricut maker in fast mode turn fast mode off and attempt your cut again. If you are cutting an image which is very intricate or small try cutting a simpler or larger.
